KTM Expands GNCC
Contingency Payout to $280,800 for 2010
Morgantown, WV (2/10/2010) -
Longtime Grand National Cross Country Series supporter
KTM has more than doubled their 2009 contingency
payout for the 2010 Can-Am Grand National Cross
Country season. Last year, KTM offered up $136,750
in contingency for bike and ATV classes but for
2010, KTM is offering $280,800.
"KTM understands that economic times are
tough and riders can use every bit of help to
keep their bikes properly maintained for race
day," remarked FMF/KTM Team Manager Antti
Kallonen. "That is why KTM has decided to
increase the contingency payouts in the off-road
series while also expanding the amount of motocross
events on the schedule. We are excited about this
news and hope that the KTM riders will be equally
pleased."
For ATVs, KTM is offering $3,000 for the XC1
Pro winner, followed by $1,500 for second, and
$750 for third for all 13 rounds. For the XC2
Pro class winner $1,500 will be awarded, followed
by $800 for second and $400 for third. KTM is
also paying out in a variety of amateur classes.
For Bikes, KTM is offering series end bonuses
for a variety of Pro and amateur classes. The
XC1 Pro overall winner will receive $5,000 followed
by $3,000 for second and $2,000 for third. KTM
pays series bonuses to the top 10 overall in the
XC1 class.
A Series end bonus will be paid out to the top
5 in the XC2 Pro-Lites class. The XC2 overall
champion will receive $3,000 followed by $1,500
for second and $1,000 for third.
KTM also pays series-end bonuses to the top 3
in several amateur classes.
