Chris Borich's
Charge to Continue at Yadkin Valley Stomp GNCC
GNCC ATV Racing - Round
6 - Yadkinville, NC - May 8, 2010
Morgantown, WV (5/6/2010)
-Defending GNCC Champion Chris Borich
is holding onto a three race-win streak heading
into the Motorcycle-USA.com Yadkin Valley Stomp
GNCC, round six of the 2010 Can-Am Grand National
Cross Country Series.
Round six in 2009 is where Borich set off an
eight-race win streak and if this pattern holds
true, Borich could set a new record for himself,
as he has only lost one race so far this year,
the second round in Georgia, won by Taylor Kiser.
But Borich maintains that the championship is
all he's after, and it is Kiser himself who could
be the one to ruin Borich's chances. Kiser has
been Borich's number one contender this season,
only stepping out of the second position once
to Warnert Can-Am's Adam McGill, who has also
been a consistent podium finisher this year. Yamaha-back
Donnie Ockerman also saw a podium appearance at
round 5, and will be gunning for more.
Not to be left out of the hunt for a win is Yamaha-
mounted Jeffrey Pickens, FRE KTM's Bryan Cook,
who has nearly pounced on the podium twice this
season, Yamaha's Johnny Gallagher, Warnert Can-Am's
Chris Bithell and GT Thunder/Yamaha's Brandon
Sommers.
In the XC2 class, Brian Wolf still leads the
pack despite at DNF at the prior round. Gabe Phillips
and Walker Fowler are leaving their marks on the
class, as both have now taken wins against Wolf.
Still waiting for a win is FRE KTM's Josh Kirkland,
this year's Defending Champion and Kevin Yoho,
who currently sits second in points.
