Glen Helen to
Host Yamaha Quad- X Series Round 5 This Weekend
Yamaha Quad-X Series , American Retrocross, &
REM Saturday MX
San Bernardino, CA (7/7/2011)
- With the Fourth of July behind us, Glen Helen
Raceway returns to racing with three of our most
popular series: the Yamaha Quad-X Series, which
takes place Saturday and Sunday, REM Saturday
MX on Saturday, and American Retrocross on Sunday.
The best ATV racers in the Southwest return to
Glen Helen Raceway for rounds 5 and 6 of the Yamaha
Quad-X Series. With half of the season already
over, the racing is sure to heat up at Glen Helen,
as Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson looks to stretch
out his points lead with fifth and sixth consecutive
wins. Hot on his heels, however, is Honda-mounted
Beau Baron, who is looking to make up points after
devastating mechanical problems took him out of
contention at the previous round. Stay up to date
with this thrilling series by logging on to www.quadxseries.com.
Racers competing in this weekend’s Quad-X
races will be able to take advantage of a quad-only
practice session on Friday from 9AM-1PM.
REM Saturday MX brings great racing of all skill
levels to Glen Helen’s Back Track on Saturday
morning. With a new track layout, there’s
no reason not to come out and enjoy the relaxed
atmosphere that REM Saturday MX has to offer.
No membership is required to race and signups
will be held on Saturday at the track from 8:00AM
to 9:30PM. For more information, visit www.remsatmx.com.
On Sunday, the Back Track is occupied by the
American Retrocross series. Providing fun racing
for all ages and skill levels, the American Retrocross
series also brings out an impressive history of
motorcycles, from new to old. Information on the
Retrocross series, including calendars and registration,
can be found at www.americanretrocross.org.
