GetDirtyMX.com/NEATV-MX's Wade Pollard has a Dream Come True

Wade Pollars - APEX 90 ATV - Get Dirty MX Racing

Wade Pollard racing at Hurricane Hills MX round 7 of the 2010 NEATV-MX Series

Walden, NY (8/25/2010) - A few weeks ago a local mini ATV rider was injured at a race and needed to have surgery on his arm. He was told he would be out 8 weeks or basically the rest of the season. Seeing he has been riding since he could practically walk this was certainly a blow to his season.

If you race in or are familiar with NEATV-MX then you may know of him. His name is Wade Pollard. Wade was 2nd in point in the 90 Auto class before switching to a 90 mod. We here at GetDirtyMX.com got to know the Pollards and their two boys Dan and Wade through a mutual friend; Ronnie Rich, who also has two boys that race in NEATV. Both are great people who go above and beyond to giving a helping hand to fellow riders and parents on and off the track.

We wanted to give something back to the Pollards, so we contacted them to find out who Wades favorite rider was to maybe get a jersey or something for him to lift his spirits. In talking with his mother Sherry she told us Wade's favorite rider was Jason Connell, also from NEATV in the Pro class.

We went ahead and contacted Jason and asked if he could sign a jersey and send it to Wade. He obliged 100% and did just more than that. Not only did Jason sign a jersey for Wade, he brought it personally to his house!

Wade was very excited to meet his favorite rider to say the least. After a few hours of talking Jason and Wade and the whole family headed down stairs to do what else, but play MX vs. ATV Reflex together!

This will surely be a memory Wade and his family will remember for a life time. It's sometimes a rare occasion that a racer gets to meet his favorite rider, but on this day it was the most natural thing on earth. We would like to thank Jason for his kindness and generosity for doing this as we know he has a busy race schedule. For a rider to take the time out and do something special like this it speaks loudly on what kind of person Jason Connell really is!

Thank you Jason and Get Well Soon Wade!
