GBC Motorsports' Racers Podium at Loretta Lynn’s GNCC
GBC Motorsports' Bryan Buckhannon Wins GNCC Pro 4x4 Class

Anaheim, CA (5/15/2014) - After a one year hiatus GNCC Racing returned to the ranch owned by legendary Country Western singer Loretta Lynn. The weather forecast was calling for torrential rains throughout Friday and into the race day Saturday, but a shift in the storm system left the mountains and valleys of hurricane Mills dry and prime for bar banging action!

In the 10am race there was once again wheel to wheel competition all day long in the 4x4 Pro class. The top 3 riders battled within inches of each other all the way to the waving checkered flag. Bryan Buckhannon came out with his first win of 2014 and his consistency has him sitting just 3 points out of the championship points lead. "It feels great to get this win,” Bryan said after the race. “My GBC Dirt Devils worked awesome out there today and I had so much fun battling with these guys all day".

Robert  Smith crossed the line for 2nd just a few seconds later making it two GBC riders snagging the top spots! Tanner Bowles continued his dominance of the 4x4 A/B class with his fifth win in six rounds of racing. Bo Jones returned to action after missing a few rounds and followed Bowles home in the 2nd place position aboard his Dirt Commander equipped Can Am. Shane Pitzer secured his 3rd win of the season in the Schoolboy C class.

Afternoon XC1 class competition for GBC racers was headed up by the impressive ride of rookie Jay Shadron. Shadron ran within the top 5 Overall much of the day before settling into 9th at the finish. Following Jay in 10th place was Jeff Pickens who had a great rebound ride after some early season struggles.

Marty Christofferson put in another XC2 podium ride with his 3rd place finish. "I couldn't be happier with the way things are going so far this year,” Christofferson said. “Moving up to XC2 and getting on board with GBC have both been great decisions and I'm pumped on how it's all working out.”

Other top 5 placing for GBC racers included: Rich Taylor 2nd (Super Senior) Todd Moskala 2nd (Vet B) Kevin Mckeown 3rd (College A) Jordan Phillips 4th (4x4 Pro) Scott Day 4th (4x4 A/B) Wayne Shay 4th (Sport) Walt Schumaker 5th (Vet A) Kara Merritt 5th (WXC)
