GBC Motorsports’ Bryan
Cook Takes Third at Snowshoe GNCC
Snowshoe
GNCC - Round 7 - Snowshoe, WV- June 25, 2011

GBC's
Bryan Cook took his season best finish by
taking third place in the XC1 ATV Pro Class |
Anaheim, CA (6/29/2011) -GBC Motorsports’
Bryan Cook claimed his first podium finish of the
season at the Snowshoe GNCC, which is fast becoming
known as America’s toughest cross country
ATV race.
Nestled high in the mountains of West Virginia,
the Snowshoe GNCC is set apart with a different
start and track layout that really throws the
racers into a completely different atmosphere
combined with miles upon miles of grueling rocks
and mud sections that would claim rider after
rider over the course of the two hour race.
GBC’s XC1 Pro ATV Racer, Bryan Cook was
up to the challenge and would put his GBC Ground
Buster II XC’s to the ultimate test as he
racked up mile after mile over the harshest terrain
one would ever want to encounter during a race.
Cook rolled off the grand prix style pavement
start and dug in to do battle on the mountain
from the second row. Cook would charge his way
into the top three after lap one, and Cook would
maintain a solid run to the finish as he ripped
across the finish line putting GBC Motorsports
on the podium.
Cook was ecstatic to be back on the podium as
he explained the season thus far hadn't found
him finishing where he knew he could, and hopes
to keep the momentum rolling as he looks towards
the next round of racing.

Jeff
Pickens finished ninth in the XC1 Pro Class.
Pickens currently sits eleventh in the XC1
Pro ATV Points |
Johnny
Gallagher was running top five until a mechanical
issue would take him out of the last half
of the race |
XC1 Pro Jeff Pickens was also having a great
race and even though the conditions on the track
were getting intense, Pickens would keep on the
throttle and finish the day taking 9th. With the
course so abusive, Pickens would be glad to finish
and has his sights set on the next round. Johnny
Gallagher was off to an impressive start running
strong in the top five for the first half of the
race, but he was taken out by mechanical issues
that were becoming the norm for so many in these
brutal conditions.

GBC's Kristen
Atwell placed third in the Womens class.
Atwell currently sits sixth in the Womens
Class points |
David Reeves would finish a solid third in Junior
A and XC2 rider Eric Hoyland would suffer mechanical
issues after pushing his Honda to the limits,
settling for 12th. Morning racer Kristen Atwell
would put in a valiant effort aboard her GBC equipped
Yamaha and would once again find herself in the
Women's class top three.
Familiar grounds await the series as round eight
heads to Millfield, Ohio for the John Penton GNCC.
With the impressive run Gallagher showed here
at Snowshoe and Cook’s visit to the podium,
the stage is set for another incredible battle
as our racers continue to prove our products have
what it takes to run with the best!
