Ontario, CA (8/2/2011) - GBC Motorsports’
Travis Moore took his best overall finish of the
season as he charged his way into the number four
position at round number ten of the 2011 AMA ATV
Motocross Championships, while Nicholas Moser took
to the Pro-am Production podium in third.
While many racers complained about the heat and
tough whoops section at Red Bud, Tennessee native
Travis Moore took it all in stride as he charged
his way to his best overall finish of his pro
career.
In the first moto of the day, Moore was just
outside of the top five off the start and was
able to quickly work up to the number four spot.
Moore battled it out with Chase Snapp, but would
lose one position, giving him a solid fifth in
the first moto.

In moto two, Moore was in the top ten off the
start and charged his way into the number five
position. Moore was looking strong and was taking
the treacherous whoops section surprisingly fast
compared to many other racers who seemed to have
difficulties in that particular area. It looked
as of Moore was on his way to another top five
moto finish, but at the mid-way point, Moore came
under fire from Joe Byrd. The pair connected during
their battle, sending Moore off the track. Luckily,
Moore was able to come back strong and finish
the race in seventh.
“After Joe and I got together I got back
out there and got back up to sixth. Jeremy Lawson
was right behind me, and we knew he didn’t
finish well in the first moto, so he wasn’t
a threat to my overall position so I let him by
and I finished in seventh, but I got fourth overall.
It’s my best overall so far, so I am really
pumped about that and I’m going to try and
keep that momentum going and put GBC Motorsports
on the podium for the final round,” said
Moore.

With the final round heading to Moore’s
home track in Tennessee, he is looking for an
even better finish to end his season. “I
am going to be training really hard for Loretta
Lynn’s. I’d rather feel the pain of
discipline now than feel the pain of regret later
on, so I’m going to go out there and give
it everything I’ve got and hopefully be
on the podium at the end of the day,” said
Moore.
GBC Motorsport’s Pro-am racer, Nicholas
Moser, also took a career best this weekend as
he found his way to the Pro-am Production podium.
Moser has been showing significant improvement
all season long and took it to another level his
weekend after going 6-2 in the Pro-am Production
class, taking third overall on the Pro-am Production
podium. “It felt great to take a podium
finish. I’ve been working hard all season
and it has finally paid off,” said Moser.
GBC Motorsports’ Travis Moore and Nicholas
Moser will be heading to Loretta Lynn’s
in Hurricane Mills, TN on August 13th –
14th, where the only thing hotter than the boiling
Tennessee summer heat, will be the action on the
track as both racers go for the podium to try
and end their season’s on a high note.
