Ontario, CA (4/20/2011) - GBC Motorsports’
Travis Moore took his best pro career finish to
date after braving the muddy conditions of Budd’s
Creek at round four of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships.
The track was slick for the first pro moto of
the day after a brief downpour earlier that morning
soaked the area, but GBC Motorsport’s Travis
Moore was able to get a good start with the help
of his GBC Bomb Squad MX tires.
Moore lost his rear brakes in the first turn
of the first moto, but he hung on to claim a fifth
place finish in moto one, his best moto finish
of the season. “A lot of people were going
with bigger tires because of the mud, but we stayed
with the Bomb Squad MX tires and they hooked up
great out there. The conditions were absolutely
the worst, but these tires were the best,”
said Moore, who has been working closely with
GBC’s Keith Little in refining his program.

In the second moto, conditions did not improve
much, but Moore came on even stronger than in
the first moto. Moore’s GBC Bomb Squad MX
tires hooked up and he was charging hard. Moore
was in fourth off the line and made the pass on
Harold Goodman in lap two, moving into third place.
Moore had held his position for seven laps and
was looking as if he was on his way to what looked
to be a podium finish when he lost his seat, which
caused him to fall back. Moore was still able
to finish in the top five, despite the adversity
and took a respectable sixth overall, his best
pro finish so far in his rookie year.
“I was so excited to be up in third and
when my seat came off, I was disappointed but
I never gave up and I just kept going as hard
as I could. Keith and I have talked about it and
we feel that mud and sand races are going to be
our strong point just because of how well these
Bomb Squad tires perform, so we are also expecting
to do well at Sunset Ridge and hopefully be on
the podium,” stated Moore.

GBC’s Bomb Squad MX tires also performed
well for Pro-am racers Jamen Davidovich and Nick
Moser. Jamen Davidovich rode a solid race in the
Pro-am Unlimited class, taking fourth overall,
while he would finish ninth in Pro-am Production.
Nick Moser also scored a top ten finish in Pro-am
Production with tenth overall.
Round number five of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships will be heading to the sandy soils
of Sunset Ridge in Walnut, IL on May 7th –
8th where GBC Motorsports’ Travis Moore
will be shooting for his first ever pro podium
finish.
