Josh Frederick & Dillon Zimmerman
took first & third at Crazy Horse
WORCS

Baxter, MN (3/28/2012) - FOX
athletes Josh Frederick and Dillon Zimmerman charged
their way to the Pro ATV podium in Lake Havasu
City, Ariz., at round three of the 2012 WORCS
series with Frederick taking the win and Zimmerman
in third.
The Crazy Horse Campground is known as one
of the roughest courses to which the WORCS series
travels. The soft sands give way to huge whoops
and ruts that challenge even the toughest racers
and their machines, not to mention the infamous
lagoon jump that has been known to send more
than a few racers for a swim.

Despite the track’s reputation, Can Am
/ Motoworks’ Frederick was ready. Known
for his expertise in desert racing, he got a
good start and recorded the fastest lap of the
race with a time of 6:00.315.
Frederick’s fast pace allowed him to
chase down the leader and wait for an opportunity
to get by. He inherited the lead just a short
time later and began to distance himself from
the rest of the pack. Frederick cruised to the
finish line and took the checkered flag by almost
a minute.
“Havasu is a rough track, but my FOX
shocks worked great out there and kept me from
getting fatigued so I could take the win,”
said Frederick, who is now the pro points leader.

Can-Am/Motoworks backed FOX athlete Zimmerman
claimed his best finish of his pro career in this
round of the WORCS series.
Zimmerman has been training hard, and it showed.
He charged his way through traffic after getting
hung up behind a wreck in the third turn off
the start. He worked his way up to just outside
the top five by the end of the first lap and
continued to mount a charge.
At the mid-way point of the two-hour race,
Zimmerman caught up to third place and applied
the pressure to make the pass. He held his position
for the rest of the race and finished in third
on the Pro ATV podium.
“It felt great to be on the podium. My
FOX equipment was working great for me and helped
me do well today,” Zimmerman said. “I
wouldn’t choose anything else.”
Round four of the eight-race WORCS series will
be held on April 13-15 at Speed World MX in
Surprise, Ariz.
