                                Baxter, MN (2/25/2012) - Josh
Frederick conquered the rough terrain of the Nevada
desert at round number two of the 2012 WORCS series
as he charged his way to the finish line, taking
his first win of the season—the win puts
him in a tie for the points lead

The second round of the WORCS series offered
up beautiful weather, but it came at price as
dusty conditions were on hand, making a good
start crucial for racers. It was a dead engine
start at the infamous Buffalo Bill’s Casino
where Dillon Zimmerman shot off the line and
grabbed the holeshot. Zimmerman led for two
laps before encountering some issues out on
the course. Although Zimmerman fell back, former
WORCS Pro Champion, Josh Frederick was ready
                                  to take over the lead.
Josh Frederick also had a good start and charged
his way into the number two spot and waited
for a prime opportunity to take over the lead.
Frederick, who is known for his blistering speed
in the desert, recorded the fastest lap time
of the race in the second lap, with a time of
08:25.355, which helped him to close in on the
                                  leader.
Once Frederick got close to the lead, he paced
himself and waited for the opportunity to make
his move. Just before the one-hour mark of the
race, he made his move to take over the lead.
Once out front, Josh put the hammer down and
                                  pulled away from the pack.
Over the course of the race, the track conditions
began to deteriorate and became quite rough,
but Josh made it look easy. Knowing that the
top spot on the podium belonged to him, Frederick
was able to cruise to victory, beating his competition
by over a minute at the checkered flag.
“My FOX shocks worked great out there.
It was a really rough track, but they soaked
up everything out there and let me ride at a
fast and steady pace,” said Frederick.
“This was my first win of the season
and I know that my FOX suspension helped get
me there. They performed great and I can’t
thank everyone at FOX enough for their support
and helping me get to the top of the podium,”
                                  Josh went on to say.
Round number two of the 2012 WORCS series will
head to the sunny shores of Lake Havasu, AZ
                                  on March 16th – 18th.
