ATV Test and Tune Charity for Children’s
Hospital
“Lucas Oil Ultimate ATV Experience”
- July 28-29, 2007
Crandon, WI (7/16/2007)
– The “Lucas Oil Ultimate ATV Experience”
continues to expand the listing of activities for the
July 28-29, 2007 event.
Organizers decided from day one that each year they
would raise money for a deserving charity. What more
deserving charity can you think of than “Children’s
Hospital?”
We really wanted to develop an event that anyone could
participate in, regardless of what brought you to the
“Lucas Oil Ultimate ATV ExperienceR.” Some
people are coming for the chance to be with family and
friends and to ride on the old school trails at the
famous Crandon International RacewayR property, a property
that is only open one weekend a year for such use. Others
are coming purely for the competition. And yet another
group is attending just to watch all the ATV excitement.
The Saturday evening “Test and Tune for Children’s
Hospital” will give EVERYONE a chance to participate.
This is less about the racing and more about the charity.
“Test and Tune Charity for Children’s Hospital”
will be a single elimination dirt drag event. Racers
will be paired as fairly as possible in early rounds
since this is a one-class-for-everyone event. Entry
price is determined by a draw of cards. Face cards =
$10 entry fee, Jokers = $20 entry fee and all other
cards = to their number for entry fee (2 of clubs is
$2, etc).
Utilizing the drag strip really allows everyone to
participate – it’s simple to understand
and easy for everybody. Trail riders can challenge their
friends, motorcrossers, tters, cross country racers
and mud boggers can give another event a try and dirt
draggers can use the charity event to get a wheel up
on the competition for Sunday’s Ultimate Dirt
Drag ChampionshipsR presented by Max Power RPMs. EVERYONE:
spectators, sponsors, vendors, and racers are all welcome
to participate in the fun. All proceeds benefit Children’s
Hospital - prizes donated by series and event sponsors
- Lucas Oil, Janssen Motorsports, Engine Ice, Rath Racing,
Scott USA and more.
As an added little treat organizers have also added
an “Open Class Exhibition” for Saturday
evening on the drag strip. Class 6 (500cc & up 2
& 4 stroke open class) and class 10 (0-700cc 2 &
4 stroke limited open) will compete for $550 added purse
plus 100% payback. 150 foot rooster tails the length
of the strip - 300 feet in under 4 seconds! The good
old boys in Crandon are going to be doing military line-up
jumping jacks of jubilation. They want horsepower, drag
racers are going to deliver. Let’s all pray for
a rematch between the 1200cc turbo charged hyabusa and
the screeming 2-stroke snowmobile powered rocketship
we witnessed a Round 3 at Muddy13. Double elimination,
entry fee is $10 per class.
