Fantasy Moto News – Ice Nationals Update

– Cold weather is definitely getting a warm
welcome from anyone who enjoys ice racing in the Midwest.
The CWIRA is racing once again this weekend in central
Wisconsin. The place to be is Lake Sherwood in Marshfield,
WI on Saturday, Jan 20th and Stanely, WI on Sunday,
Jan 21st. Saturday's event on Lake Sherwood includes
a three hour endurance race for
bikes. Both locations have excellent ice conditions
for the weekend. If you’re from MI, MN, IL,
IN it may be well worth your while to make an extra
trip to Wisconsin before the AMA National Ice Racing
Championships roll into town on February 3-4, 2007.

While we are on the subject of the nationals…
The host community, Township of Rome,
WI is rather small, but they putting forth a huge
effort to role out the red carpet for the AMA National
Ice Racing Championships.
Besides lending a helping hand to Fantasy
Moto in every possible way, the Town has devised its
own promotion to help benefit area businesses for
the championship weekend.
Introducing the Town of Rome DASH FOR
CASH! Additional $2250.00 Dash for Cash added to the
weekend, in addition to the $5000 advertised purse.
This is no ordinary Dash for Cash – it is open
to EVERYONE attending the weekend event - that means
fans, family, participants, locals or out of state
visitors – no fee – this is FREE!
What would you say to a $1000 cash first
prize, $750 cash second prize and $500 cash third
prize for simply patronizing the 9 businesses in the
township at any time throughout the weekend? Just
visit each of the nine businesses in the township
anytime between Friday, February 2nd and Sunday February
4th to collect a “stamp.” You can drop
your “stamped” card in one of several
boxes around the community. On Tuesday, February 6th
a random drawing at the “Lure” will determine
the winners. Winners will be posted on www.fantasymoto.com
Need not be present for the drawing to win. With very
little effort you can pay for your entire Nationals
weekend trip, even if you’re coming from Colorado
or New Jersey!
This is all on top of the $5000.00
purse for the Janssen Motorsports Quad Shootout and
the Kold Kutter Shootouts for bikes!
Updates: Both the printable
and electronic online pre-registration forms are updated
reflecting several class additions (251-450cc B Bike
and Quad Open Rubber B). The electronic online form
now has a place to list your sponsors for inclusion
in the program book. All pre-registered racers receive
$10 off per class, a Fantasy Moto T-shirt, and a listing
in the program book, which will include your listed
sponsors. Pre-registration deadline is January 30th.
Misprint: The earliest
mailed pre-registration forms had all classes listed
as "Saturday" - the right hand box should
have been titled "Sunday.”
Schedule: We’ve
created a little confusion with the CWIRA Warm-up
race so we’re working on a race order for Saturday
that will allow everyone to participate in the CWIRA
warm-up event as well as the National on Saturday,
February 3rd – we’ll be posting that schedule
early next week at www.fantasymoto.com
