2011 ATVA Extreme Dirt Track ATV Racing Series Updates
Final Schedule, Revamped Website, Supplemental Rules, and New Referee

Pickerington, OH (3/8/2011) - The AMA Extreme Dirt Track ATV National Championship Racing Series is pleased to announce the Final 2011 ATV racing series schedule. This season should be an exciting one as we have expanded the rounds and have added new tracks to the season schedule. The series will kick off in Kinston, NC on April 30 and the grand finale will be at Busco Beach ATV Park in Goldsboro, NC on September 3. ATVRiders will continue to cover each round.

The Extreme Dirt Track Website (http://www.edtracing.com/) has been completely updated with a new layout and even more information such as media coverage and a forum. The website is designed to keep you current on the series schedule, tracks and locations, points, and other important news. Track information such as the weekend agenda, local hotels and restaurants are provided for each round. Take a minute to explore the website and give us your feedback.

The 2011 Supplemental Rules have been updated. These are available on the edtracing website. The biggest change is a slight reduction in classes. The ‘Open’ classes and ‘265/450cc’ classes have been combined and replaced with new ‘Unlimited’ class. This allows for better alignment with the Unlimited Pro Am class. The ‘Pro Lites’ class has been renamed back to ‘Pro Am’ and there is now a max displacement of 306cc allowed for 2 strokes. The ’16-24A’ and ’16-24B/C’ age classes have been combined and replaced into a single ’16-24’ class. New for 2011 is the long awaited ’90cc stock limited’ class. Finally, the EDT Series would like to welcome Keith Blanchard as the 2011 series referee. Keith has been active in the series for many years. After taking a couple years off, he is very excited to be back and part of a growing series. Keith will be working closely with the EDT Board members. Please join us in welcoming Keith back.
