& 2 ATV Race Report
DeRisi Racing ATV Racers
Take Podium at River Ranch GNCC & General
GNCC
Casar, NC (3/22/2012) - The Florida
sun was shining bright as the DeRisi Racing crew
rolled into River Ranch for Round 1 of the GNCC
series. The beautiful weather would eventually give
way to rain clouds that would spread some moisture
on the track by the time racing got underway. When
the flag dropped on the XC2 row, both Eric Hoyland
and Braden Henthorn would suffer mid-pack starts.
Both riders rebounded quickly, however, and managed
to work their way well inside the top 5 early in
the race. At the finish line, it would be XC2 rookie,
Braden Henthorn, taking an impressive 2nd place
finish with teammate, Eric Hoyland, rounding out
the podium in 3rd.

In the College A class, Brycen Neal proved that
he is more than prepared for his first full season
on a 450 by taking a commanding victory, as well
as being top amateur with a 15th overall finish.
Junior A rider, David Reeves, was able to fight
his way into the lead by the white flag, but a
brief encounter with a tree would cause him to
drop back to a 2nd place finish. James Reeves,
also in Junior A, would have a solid day and bring
home a 5th place finish. In the morning race,
Kylie Ahart would make an impressive debut in
the premiere Women’s class by finishing
3rd in the Florida sand.

After only five days to rest and repair the quads
from the brutal sand whoops, DeRisi Racing hit
the woods of Aonia Pass MX in Washington, GA for
Round 2 of the GNCC series. Once again, Kylie
Ahart was able to turn heads with another stellar
performance in the Women’s class and finished
2nd for the day. James Reeves fought hard to make
his way up to the 3rd position in Junior A, but
a minor mechanical problem forced him to slow
his pace and he had to settle for 8th. David Reeves
charged to the lead position early in the race
and never looked back, taking home his first win
for the 2012 season in Junior A. Brycen Neal overcame
a near last place start in College A, and battled
his way into first when the white flag flew. Unfortunately,
he also encountered a mechanical problem which
dropped him back to 3rd position by the end of
the race.
The two DeRisi XC2 riders were looking to match,
and hopefully best, the prior week’s performance.
Eric Hoyland laid down solid laps and fell just
shy of the podium by finishing in the 4th position.
Eric is now tied for 2nd in points heading into
Round 3. Braden Henthorn looked good and clicked
off some fast laptimes while trying to make his
way through the field, but his day ended early
on the last lap when his clutch gave out. “I’m
very excited about how this team has come together
and the level of support provided by our sponsors.
The race at Georgia wasn’t quite what we
were hoping for, but we know what areas to work
on to have everyone back on top at Steele Creek”,
said team owner, Santo DeRisi. “Thank you
so much to the following companies for their loyalty
and support; Rath Racing, Fox Shox, GBC Tires,
IMS Products, HMF, HiPer Technology, Power Bar,
GPR, Fasst Co, DC Cycle, Wiseco, RG Honda, Twin
Air, Rekluse, Dirtworks, Tireballs, DP Brakes,
G4 Graphics, PowerMadd, Motion Pro, Quad Tech,
