Hoyland sits third in the points race
after taking podium at Big Buck GNCC in
Union, SC

Casar, NC (4/14/2011) -With
the addition of the new team sponsor, PowerBar,
the DeRisi Racing team was ready to head to Union
South Carolina for the fourth round of GNCC racing.
With clear skies and warm weather forecasted the
team was confident they could continue to build
upon the success of the past three rounds.
XC2 ProAm rider Eric Hoyland was the first to
hit the track for the DeRisi Racing crew. He had
a good jump off the line and would enter the woods
in the top ten. As the first lap came to a close
Eric had moved his way towards the front, checking
in at fifth place. By lap four of the five lap
race Eric had pushed himself through the pack
to take over the third place spot, which is where
he would finish out the day. This finish places
Eric third in XC2 ProAm points standing’s.
“Eric seems to show improvement every round”
said Santo DeRisi, Owner of DeRisi Racing Inc.
“I am real pleased with his determination
and I only feel things will get better as the
season moves forward.”
Junior A rider Luke Reeves pulled yet another
hole shot and comfortably entered the woods in
the number one spot. His teammate and competitor
David Reeves got a mid pack start and would begin
moving his way towards the front of the class
when he would unfortunately run into mechanical
issues which would end his day early. Luke would
go on to earn yet another top three finish which
places him third in the Junior A class standing’s.
“Both David and Luke are working really
hard” says DeRisi “I know they will
be contenders right up until round thirteen. We
just have to shake some of the bad luck David
is having, he is a great rider but luck does not
seem to be on his side right now. He will be back
up front at Loretta’s”
“Loretta Lynn’s is one of my favorite
race locations.” said DeRisi. “I am
really looking forward to the team heading on
to Tennessee. In the long break we will continue
our regimen so we are ready for round five. As
always I am so thankful for the support of the
