Tulsa, OK (4/6/2011) - Can-Am X-Team’s
Chase Snapp took his first ever top five Pro Production
finish at round three of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships, which is so far his best finish of
the season.
Ballance MX in Bowling Green, KY was the hosting
facility for the third round of the season, where
track conditions were favorable, which suited
Chase Snapp well as he charged off the gate in
the top five.
“I got the jump on a lot of guys when the
gate dropped, and I was in fifth going into the
first turn, but I got hit and went off the track,”
explained Snapp, who then found himself outside
of the top ten.

& Joe Byrd battling it out for the
fifth place position

Snapp charged hard and soon caught up to veteran
racer Joe Byrd which quickly resulted in a heated
battle that would last for the entire moto. “The
first moto was pretty intense. I caught up to
Joe and we were going back and forth but I was
able to get him just two laps from the finish
and hold my position,” said Snapp, who would
take a fifth place finish in moto one.
In moto two, Snapp got off to a slower start,
but he charged hard and once again caught up to
Joe Byrd, but this time it only took one lap for
the Can-Am mounted racer to get by. Snapp would
then work his way into sixth place after making
the pass on Travis Moore and hold his position
for eight laps before taking it to the finish
line. Snapp’s consistent 5-6 finishes allowed
him to round out the top five overall.

3 in the AMA ATV Pro Class

“My goal was to get a top five finish,
so I’m really happy with that. Now that
I know I can do it, I’m hoping to be up
there every round and maybe even get a podium
before the end of the season. I have to give a
special thanks to Jimmy O’Dell, Johnny Leach
and SSI Decals. They have helped me out a lot
this season and I am very grateful,” stated
Snapp.
With his first top five pro finish under his
belt, Chase Snapp is looking forward to Budds
Creek on April 16th – 17th where he will
again be shooting for the top five and maybe even
the podium.
