Rick Cecco
ends the 2010 GNCC Season with a podium
finish

Shermansdale, PA (11/08/2010)-Cecco
Racing’s Rick Cecco came on strong at the
final round of the 2010 GNCC Series in Crawfordsville,
IN, finishing his season with his 3rd class win
in a row that would put him on the morning podium
in a solid second overall.
The weather was good for round 13 and the track
was in great shape, with a lot of open fields
and a new hill climb added that was dubbed,
“The Wall” and for good reason,
but Rick Cecco successfully climbed The Wall
every lap, cutting seconds off his time with
every pass.
Cecco came off the starting line in second
place and settled into third due to the dusty
conditions. Cecco paced himself and held strong,
taking over the lead in lap three.

Dust was certainly an issue at this round and
caused Cecco to make a pit stop in the final
lap and forfeiting his lead, but Cecco quickly
caught back up to the leader while battling
his way through all of the lap traffic to make
the final pass only a few turns from the finish
with a time of 01:50:49, giving him the 4x4
Open class win and second overall for the day.
Rick Cecco has won every race he has attended
since returning from the summer break and ended
his season in an impressive second place in
the championship points race and was only five
points out of First for the year. “This
has been a good season for me and it was great
to end the year on the podium with another class
win,” said Cecco.
Rick Cecco would like to thank all of his 2010
sponsors, family and friends who have helped
to make this a successful season and plans to
continue his winning momentum in 2011.
