Valcourt, Canada (11/3/06) - BRP's
Can-Am X-Team racers proved the superiority of the OutlanderTM
ATV once again with multiple wins and championships
at the Grand National Cross Country [GNCC] Ironman race
in Crawfordsville, Ind. on October 21. Racers on Can-AmTM
ATVs won both Utility class races and secured both Utility
class season championships.
Michael Swift won the Ironman Utility Stock class
race, clinching his first GNCC season championship
title. X-Team racer Scott Kilby claimed the Utility
Modified class by a slim margin over fellow Can-Am
racer Brock Parker. It is Kilby’s seventh GNCC
Utility championship title. Both Kilby and Parker
are signed to ride on Can-Am ATVs in 2007.
Rick Cecco and Jeremy Dudding took the top two podium
spots in the Ironman Utility Mod race on their Outlander
quads.
“Two championships titles and nine wins –
this was a great first full season of GNCC cross-country
competition for BRP, the Can-Am brand, and our Outlander
quads,” said Bernard Guy, ATV Marketing Director.
“Racing isn’t just part of our heritage,
it's a part of our future, and it’s an important
part of our product development process. We’re
taking what we learn on the track and applying it
to the vehicles ATVers buy every day.”
