                              - Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 Pro racer Josh Frederick
finished second in the Pro class at the World Off-Road

Can-Am X-Team support racers also scored two Pro-Am
class podiums and a victory in the Production A

/ Motoworks' Josh Frederick finished second
at WORCS Season Opener aboard his Can-Am
DS450 ATV | "Our racers had a good weekend, earning
several podiums, despite the wet, challenging
conditions and one-line track at the opening round
at Glen Helen," said Jimmie O’Dell,
Race Manager, Can-Am. "Pro racer Josh Frederick
led at one point and battled until the very end
before netting a hard-fought second place finish.
Fellow DS 450 Pro racer Dillon Zimmerman tied
                                a career-best, finishing fourth-place overall
in the Pro class.” Frederick, who finished second overall in the
Pro class in 2011 and is a former WORCS ATV Champion,
started the race in the top five and quickly moved
up into second place by the end of lap two. Later
in the race, Frederick took over as the race leader.
After leading for two laps, Frederick dropped
back to second and continued battling, bumper-to-bumper,
with the leader. The two racers did this all the
way to the finish line, but Frederick could not
find a way around and had to settle for second
overall. “I went out there and just tried to ride
my own race and do my best,” said Frederick.
“Early on, I got hung up in the WORCS enduro-cross
section, but I just put my head down and tried
to make up time and I did. My DS 450 was running
awesome and it felt good to start the season on
the podium.” Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 Pro Dillon Zimmerman
started the day in fourth place ahead of Frederick.
He later climbed into the third-place position
behind Frederick and the race leader. From there,
Zimmerman had his hands full with three other
racers challenging him for the podium. While he
missed the final podium spot, he was able to earn
fourth and match a career-best finish in the WORCS
                                Pro class.
