Can-Am's Chase Snapp Battles for forth position at Sunset Ridge MX

Tulsa, OK (5/10/2011) - Can-Am’s Chase Snapp claimed a top five finish at Sunset Ridge after a heated two-moto battle with Thomas Brown that could easily be considered one of the best battles of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championship series.

The weather in Walnut, IL was good and the track conditions started out good as well, but did a get a little rough and choppy due to the sandy soil, however that didn’t seem to matter much to Chase Snapp as he charged off the start in moto one.

Can-Am’s Chase Snapp had his hands full as he went toe to toe with Jeremy Lawson and Thomas Brown in moto one. Snapp made his way around Lawson and then came under fire from a charging Brown.

After a long Battle with Thomas Brown Chase Snapp finished fifth overall in the ATV Pro Class

“I stalled it coming out of a corner and Thomas Brown caught up with me. We were really battling, going back and forth and we ended up connecting and we went back and forth a couple more times before I was able to make it stick,” stated Snapp, who took a fifth place finish in moto one.

In moto two, Snapp missed a shift off the start, but used an inside line to make up for it. “I took this inside line that no one else was using off the start and I was able to pass half of the pack in the first two corners,” said Snapp. Not long after his incredible start, Snapp was under fire again from a charging Thomas Brown.

I tried to close back in but I couldn’t get close enough to make a move before the checkered flag,” Snapp explained. Chase Snapp’s solid motos had him rounding out the top five overall for the day, his second top five finish of the season. Snapp is also currently holding down the number five spot in the pro points chase.

“I really have to thank Ian at SSI Decals and all of my sponsors for all of their support this year. It has been a good season so far and I am hoping to be on the podium before it’s over,” stated Snapp.

Round number six of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross Championships will be heading to Steel City in Delmont, PA where Chase Snapp will be charging hard in an attempt to take his first podium of his pro career.
