Lagzdins Takes Pro ATV Win at Round
2 of the AMA National Hare and Hound
Series

Los Angeles, CA
(2/18/2011) - Bomb Squad Racing’s
Andy Lagzdins put together a wire to wire
victory at the Moose Run AMA National Hare
and Hound, hosted by the Four Aces Motorcycle
Club at the Spangler Hills OHV Area near Ridgecrest
California on February 13th.
Lagzdins’ debut in the Hare and Hound
races came last October at the final round
of the series where he gutted out a come from
behind victory over two-time Hare and Hound
Pro Quad Champion Kyle Penner, just beating
Penner to the line for the win.
“This win came a lot easier than the
last,” Lagzdins said. “I was the
last guy to pick a spot on the start line.
I had to settle for a spot with a line directly
into a bunch of brush, but it worked out and
got me the holeshot to the Bomb.”
The 48 mile long Moose Run course was laid
out through the natural desert terrain and
included long whoop sections, rocky hillclimbs,
and tight canyons. “The rocks and ditches
come up so fast, you have to be ready. These
races are all about finding a balance between
speed and caution. A lot of the lines hadn’t
been ridden through on a quad yet, so being
the first one to blast down some of the single
track was a little sketchy” commented
Lagzdins after the race.
Defending Champion Kyle Penner finished second
with past Big 6 GP Champ Robin Fawcett rounding
out the podium in third.
