Blingstar's #21 Clint Roberts placed fourth at WORCS Buffalo Bill's Round 2 in Primm, Nevada |
Corona, CA (2/12/2013) - The Blingstar Team raced their Polaris RZR XP 900’s to strong finishes at the second round of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS SxS Series.
Clint Robert’s put his RZR through the paces and earned his first top five finish of the year; the California racer took a solid fourth place finish, thirty seconds ahead of fifth position, in the SxS Pro Production class. Teammate, Nick Nelson had some bad luck, but was able to salvage a ninth place finish and earn valuable points.
Clint Roberts started his Triumph Motorsports prepped RZR XP 900 on the third row, and had a lot of passing to do to get near the front of the pack. Despite the extremely rough track conditions, Roberts worked his way from fourteenth position in lap one, to fifth position on lap five. Roberts continued his charge to fourth place and was even able to battle with his teammate, Nelson, for a while before pushing on to the finish.

“It was a crazy, super rough track. There were only a few places to pass; everything was very whooped out and you had to race smart. Other than a brutal track, the conditions were good and my RZR worked awesome. I made a lot of good passes and earned a solid finish,” regarded Roberts of his fourth place.

I made a lot of good passes and earned a solid finish, I have to give props to DWT, Motoworks and Fox for the awesome set-up they provided” regarded Roberts of his fourth place.
Nick Nelson started his race on the first row of the Pro SxS Production class and quickly made his way to the top three. Nelson remained with the front runners until he got into a tangle with another driver. The tangle resulted in a flat tire.
“I got the flat and tried to drive it out and ended up breaking the sway bar and then the RZR wasn’t handling as well as it should. I am happy that I finished but wish I would’ve had a better race,” said Nelson.
Nelson was able to get his RZR back up and running and completed all six laps. His completion earned him valuable points and a ninth place finish in the class.
Roberts, who heads the Blingstar team was satisfied that both he and Nelson finished with solid points, “that’s all I can ask for,” said Roberts.
The Blingstar Team will line up again in six short weeks at round three of the WORCS series in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the Crazy Horse. Both Roberts and Nelson will undoubtedly be a threat as the series continues
