/ Blingstar / Polaris airs out his Polaris
RZR XP 900 SxS / UTV.Carr placed just
outside top 10 at Cahuilla Creek WORCS

Corona, CA (8/24/2012) - After
practicing on Friday, the Rockstar / Blingstar
/ Polaris team knew they were in for a long day
of grueling sweat and hard work on Saturday, but
were anxious to compete in their first WORCS race
of the season. The temperature was in the high
90’s and the dust in the back section was
extremely challenging.
There were 33 SxS’s on the starting gate
and all 4 of the Rockstar / Blingstar / Polaris
900 XP’s had to start from the back row.
When the green flag dropped, the DWT tires hooked
up great and gave all 4 drivers great positioning
going into the first turn. After an unfortunate
collision on the first lap, Jason Merrill was
forced out of the race with a broken tie rod.
That would leave Bryan Carr, Clint Roberts and
Jeremy Merrill to put the laps in to try and
bring home a podium finish.
The course was very rough and one lined but
after lap one, all 3 drivers had made passes
and seemed to be pulling more horsepower than
the competition thanks to the finely tuned Polaris
RZR XP 900’s and Motoworks exhaust.
Ten minutes into the race, the dusty back section
got the best of Rockstar / Blingstar / Polaris
driver, Jeremy Merrill, when he was trying to
maneuver around a stalled UTV, and got clipped
from behind. This forced him out of the race
for good and the team was now left with Bryan
and Clint to get the Rockstar / Blingstar /
Polaris UTV’s on the podium. With about
30 minutes left to go and a track that was hammered
with bumps and deep ruts, the FOX Shox were
put to the test and performed awesome. Both
drivers made a hard push and continued to make
passes through out the race.
The checkered flag was out and after the 45
minute moto, Bryan Carr finished in 11th and
Clint Roberts finished in 16th place.
