BCS Performance's Ronnie Higgerson Third at Spring Creek MX
Josh Creamer Fourth in ATV Motocross Pro Class

Millville, MN (7/2/2014) - BCS Performance’s Josh Creamer came on strong at round six of the 2014 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Nationals for a fourth place finish in the Pro class at Spring Creek MX in Millville, MN, while Ronnie Higgerson took to the podium in the Pro-am class.

Spring Creek MX is regarded as one of the toughest tracks on the circuit, and with its big roller sections and new hill side pro section for this season, it did not disappoint. While a chance of thundershowers loomed, the Pro class was lucky enough to dodge any precipitation, giving way to mostly dry, but rough track conditions.

Josh Creamer had one of his best finishes in the last couple of rounds with a fourth place overall. Creamer got off to a good start in moto one and was holding down second place before he and Joel Hetrick battled it out. Creamer fell back to third and tried to remount a charge but ran out of time before he could make a move and settled for a third place finish. “We had a good first moto. My ITP Tires hooked up and I came off the line in second and I was able to finish a solid third,” said Creamer.

In the second moto, Creamer was in mid-pack off the start but he kept his head down and began to move forward. Creamer was able to make his way into fourth place and hold it all the way to the finish line. His 3-4 finishes gave him fourth overall for the day.

“On the second moto start, no one lifted going into that first corner. I was in the middle of it so I got pinched out and was in about ninth or tenth. I just started making passes and got into fourth and finished there. This track was rough but my BCS performance/Can-Am was working good; it had plenty of power and I was able to get over those triples pretty well,” said Creamer.

Ronnie Higgerson put together two consistent motos and rounded out the top ten for the day in the Pro class. In the first moto, Higgerson was in the number eight spot in the first lap and had plenty of company. Higgerson battled hard and rounded out the top ten in moto one. Moto two was practically a repeat for Higgerson and he ended his day with another tenth place finish. Higgerson’s 10-10 finishes had him rounding out the top ten overall for the day in the Pro class, but the Pro-am class was another story.

In Sunday’s Pro-am race, Ronnie Higgerson had a good start in moto one and was in third place, and challenging for second. Higgerson was applying the pressure and in the final lap, he went to make a move, but instead connected with second place and got tangled up. Luckily, Higgerson was able to continue and crossed the finish line in fifth place. “I was battling pretty hard in that first moto and got tangled up. A few guys got by me, but I worked back up to fifth. I knew I had to do well in the second moto if I wanted to be on the podium and maintain my points lead,” said Higgerson.

In moto two, Higgerson was in fifth early in the race and began working his way through traffic. Higgerson was able to take over third place in the final lap and held it all the way to the finish line. Higgerson’s 5-3 finishes gave him the third spot on the Pro-am podium. “I didn’t get a good start in the second Pro-am moto and had to work my way through the pack. It was rough out there and getting through guys wasn’t easy. Luckily BCS had my Can-Am set up great. It had tons of power and I was able to make a crucial pass in the final lap and that’s what got me up on the podium,” said Higgerson.
