NEATV-MX - Round 8 - MX 207 - Lyman, MA - August 7, 2011

BCS's Cody Miller placed third overall in the Pro & Pro-Am Class at MX 207

West Springfield, MA (8/12/2011) – It was a wet and wild ride this weekend, but BCS
Performance’s Cody Miller claimed two podium finishes at round number eight of the 2011 New England ATV Motocross Series finishing third overall in both the Pro and Pro-am classes.

Continuous rain fall saturated the MX207 track in Lyman, ME on Saturday evening, with light showers carrying over into Sunday’s races, making for very slick and muddy conditions for the first motos of the day, but with a few set up changes, BCS Performance’s Cody Miller overcame the muddy conditions.

In the first Pro moto, Miller came off the start in third and stayed close to the leaders. Although close, the single lined track and mud prevented him from making a move and he would take his third place position all the way to the checkered flag. Miller got off to a better start in the second moto, taking second as he charged off the line. Miller would eventually finish moto two in the number three spot giving him third overall on the Pro podium.

Rain & mud didn't slow down Miller from taking the Pro-Am class holeshot in Moto 1 aboard his Can-Am DS 450 ATV

“The BCS crew was prepared for the rain and we ran bigger tires for this race and made a few changes that helped us to stay in the top three even though the conditions weren’t that great. I have to thank them for being prepared and making those changes so I can be on the podium,” stated Miller.

In the Pro-am class, Cody Miller charged off the gate and grabbed the moto one holeshot. Miller would fall back to second in the first lap, but rode a flawless moto and held off the rest of the pack to finish in second place. In the second moto, Miller was in third off the line and held his position from start to finish, giving him third at the checkered flag and third overall on the Pro-am podium.

“This was a pretty tough race because of the mud, which made it tough to pass, but I had a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to the next round. It’s going to be at E-Town and I haven’t raced there since 2006 so I am looking forward to racing a different track,” said Miller.

Round number nine of the 2011 New England ATV Motocross Series will head to
Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ on August 21st Where BCS Performance’s Cody Miller will be going for the podium.
