West Springfield, MA (6/30/2011)
– BCS Performance’s Cody Miller made
a hard charge and battled his way to the Pro-am
Podium at round number five of the 2011 New England
ATV Motocross series and Miller claimed a top five
finish in the Pro class as well.
MX207 was the hosting facility for this round
and track conditions were good, but the narrow
track kept passing opportunities to a minimum,
but that didn’t stop Cody Miller from making
his way through traffic.
In the first Pro moto, Miller was toward the
back off the start but quickly made his way into
the number four spot. From there, Miller chased
down Jason Dunkelberger and was able to get by
when Dunkelberger flipped his quad right in front
of Miller. Miller was lucky to avoid any carnage
and kept on the gas to take the number three spot
at the checkered flag.

Miller took
third in Pro Moto 1 and fourth in Pro
Moto 2 giving him fourth overall in the
Pro ATV Class

The second Pro moto was almost a repeat for Miller
as he was last off the line, but again charged
hard and came through traffic into the number
four spot. Miller battled it out with Jasmin Plante,
but was unable to get by him before reaching the
finish line, giving him a fourth place finish
in moto two and a fourth place overall. “This
track is always tough to pass on because it’s
so narrow and when you get behind a guy like Plante,
who is already tough to pass, it’s really
hard to get by, so I am happy that I was able
to finish in the top five,” said Miller.

Can-Am's
Cody Miller placed third in both Pro-Am
motos giving him third overall in the
Pro-Am ATV Class. Miller also sits third
in both Pro-Am & Pro ATV Class Points
after round 5

In the Pro-am class, Miller again got off to a slower
than normal spot but put the hammer down and worked
up to third before the end of the moto. The second
pro moto went better for Miller as he got a decent
start in fourth place. Miller quickly picked off
Jasmin Plante to take over third and hold it all
the way to the checkered flag. Miller’s 3-3
finishes put him in the number three spot on the
Pro-am podium. “I had a tough time with my
starts this weekend and in the second moto, I was
determined to get a better start and I made it happen.
I am going to be going home and practicing so I
can be back on the podium in both classes at the
next round,” said a determined Miller.
Round number six of the 2011 New England ATV
Motocross Series will be heading to Hemond Moto
X Park in Minot, ME on July 10th, where BCS Performance’s
Cody Miller will be going for the podium.
