West Springfield, MA (5/17/2011)
– BCS Performance’s Cody Miller charged
hard at round number two of the New England ATV
Motocross Series to claim a spot on the Pro podium
at Capeway Rovers MX.
Weather conditions started out god for the morning
motos, but rain fell later in the day and created
some slick and muddy conditions for racers, but
that didn’t stop Cody Miller from racing
to the podium.
For the first pro moto of the day, Miller was
in fourth off the line and chased down Jasmin
Plante and made the pass for third. Miller than
began to close in on leaders Dustin Wimmer and
Josh Creamer but ran out of time before he could
get close enough to make a move and would stay
in third place as he crossed the finish line.

In moto two, Miller grabbed the holeshot with
Dustin Wimmer and Josh Creamer right behind him.
Miller led for a couple of laps before he and
Wimmer battled it out. “Dustin and I were
really going at it. We went back and forth a couple
of times but then he was able to make it stick,”
said Miller.
From there, Miller was immediately under attack
from Josh Creamer. Miller was holding off Creamer,
but the rain was falling and slick conditions
got the best of him and Creamer was able to get
by. Miller held on for a third place finish in
moto two and took the third spot on the pro podium.
Miller was also looking good in the Pro-am class.
Miller was in third off the start in the first
moto right behind Wimmer and Creamer once again.
Miller stayed close and took a respectable third
at the checkered flag.

Moto two started out well for Miller as he grabbed
the holeshot and led for a short time, but a mistake
would have him dropping back to third. Miller
was gaining ground on the leaders, but in the
final few laps, Miler came off of a huge table
top and hit a kicker that sent him crashing to
the ground. “I had been hitting that jump
all day, but it started getting a kicker at the
lip and I must have hit it just right and it kicked
my back end up and I hit the ground hard,”
said Miller. Luckily, Miller was not hurt aside
from a few bumps and bruises and continued to
race.
Unfortunately, his ordeal put him one lap down
and he would round out the top ten for moto two,
giving him seventh overall. “I’m really
looking forward to the next round. I like that
track and I think I’ll do well there,”
stated Miller.
Round number three of the 2011 New England ATV
Motocross Series will head to Hurricane Hills
in in Clifford, PA on May 29th, where BCS Performance’s
Cody Miller will be looking to bring in his first
win of the season.
