Cody Miller takes the first podium of the season placing third in both the Pro and Pro-Am ATV Classes at NEATV-MX round 1 in Wallkill, NY

West Springfield, MA (5/5/2011) – BCS Performance’s Cody Miller made his return for the first round of the New England ATV Motocross Series and came on strong to finish on the podium in both the Pro and Pro-am classes.

The off season was busy for Cody Miller and the BCS crew as Miller was busy training and testing out a couple of new additions to his program. Miller’s training paid off as he was up against some of the stiffest competition the New England ATV Motocross series has ever seen.

Walden MX in Wallkill, NY was the hosting facility for the season opener. Good weather and good track conditions helped Cody Miller get off to a good start in third off the line in the first Pro moto. Miller stayed close to leaders Dustin Wimmer and Josh Creamer and claimed a third place finish. In moto two, Miller was in fourth off the start and quickly passed Jason Dunkelberger in the first lap to move into third. Miller held down his position unchallenged all the way to the checkered flag taking third overall in the Pro class.

“Everything went good for me this weekend. I finished on the podium, so I am happy with that. I knew that I would have a lot more competition this year so I have really stepped up my training and BCS has made a couple changes to the quad that are working good, so I am looking forward to a good season,” said Miller.

In the Pro-am class, Miller was in eighth place off the line and made a big charge and worked his way into fourth place behind Jasmin Plante. Miller closed in on Plante, but was not able to make a pass before reaching the checkered flag, giving him a fourth place finish. In the second moto, Miller battled hard as he was in eighth place again off the start with Josh Creamer hot on his heels. Miller charged through traffic and worked into the number two spot all while holding off Creamer, but fell back to third when he accidentally hit neutral going over a jump, which allowed Creamer to get by. Miller’s 4-3 finishes put him in third overall in the Pro-am class.

“I was pushing really hard and I was holding off Creamer so I was a little disappointed when I hit neutral and he got by. I stayed close to him, but I didn’t have enough time to try to make a pass,” said Miller, who was still impressive as he lapped a good portion of the field in both classes.

Round number two of the 2011 New England ATV Motocross Series will have BCS Performance’s Cody Miller traveling to Carver, MA on May 15th, where Cape Way Rovers will play host as Miller goes for the podium.
