West Springfield, MA (9/14/2010)
- BCS Performance’s Cody Miller took both
the Open Pro and Open Pro-am overall wins at Jolly
Roger MX Park, repeating his success from round
two at the same facility, where he swept both classes
back in May. It was a tough race for Miller,
however, with tough competition, cool temps and
rough track conditions that impacted all racers.
As the gate dropped for the first Pro moto, Miller
was in a solid third place behind Jasmin Plante
and Michael Pilotte. Miller fought hard with Plante
and soon worked his way into the number two spot
before crossing the finish line.
In moto two, Miller put the hammer down, and
after a tough battle with Jason Connell and Michael
Pilotte, Miller was able to pull ahead and grab
the moto two win, giving him the overall and a
solid 36 point lead in the pro points championship
race.
In the Pro-am class, Miller was in third off
the start again in moto one and was right behind
Pilotte and Plante once again. Miller put in a
hard charge and was able to past both racers,
after a tough battle, to take the moto one win.

In moto two, Miller was off to a decent start behind Joe Haavisto, but then Haavisto
went down right in front of Miller, forcing Miller
to hit the brakes in order to avoid being part of
the carnage. Miller’s sudden stop put him
at the back of the pack, but he was not about to
give up and put the hammer down. Miller charged
his way up to the number three spot before reaching
the checkered flag, and with his 1-3 finishes, he
was able to take the overall win as well, giving
him the points lead in the Pro-am class as well.
“I’m pretty happy with my results
this weekend. I now have the points lead in both
classes and with the support of BCS Performance
and Can-Am, I am hoping for a dual championship
when it’s all over,” said Miller.
Round eleven of the 2010 New England ATV Motocross
Series will be held on September 26th as the series
travels to Wallkill, NY where Walden MX will be
the hosting facility. And with only two round
left in the 2010 season, Cody Miller will be on
top of his game in order to bring BCS Performance
both the Pro and Pro-am championships.
