West Springfield, MA (8/4/2010)
- BCS Performance’s Cody Miller charged his
way to victory in the Pro-am Class at round number
eight of the 2010 New England ATV Motocross Series
and also reclaimed the Pro points lead with a spot
on the Pro podium.
Capeway Rovers was the hosting facility for round
eight that saw great weather and good track conditions
that helped Cody Miller to take three moto wins
over the weekend. Since Capeway is one of the
smaller tracks on the circuit and has limited
passing opportunities, good starts were crucial.
In the first Pro moto, Miller was in mid pack
off the line and moving forward, but he would
get hit and spin out in the third turn, causing
him to fall to the back of the pack. Miller put
on a hard charge and, despite a blown shock, made
his way up to fifth place before taking the checkered
flag.
Pro moto two went much better for Miller as he
grabbed the holeshot and checked out. Miller led
from start to finish, holding off Jasmin Plante
and Michael Pilotte to take the moto two win,
which would put him in third overall and give
him a five point lead in the Pro points chase.
“I’m really glad to have the points
lead back and I plan to get a bigger lead after
round nine,” said Miller.

Cody Miller's
Pro-Am class went perfect for him as he
dominated both motos going 1-1 on the
day at Capeway

In the Open Pro-am class, Miller was unstoppable.
In moto one, Miller was in fourth off the line
and made his way into second, behind Jasmin Plante,
before the end of the first lap. From there, Miller
waited for an opportunity and in lap six, he got
his chance to take over the lead and pull away.
Miller held off Plante for the rest of the moto
to take the win.
Pro-am moto two was an easy one for Miller as
he claimed the holeshot and would lead from start
to finish taking the moto two win and the overall.
Miller’s overall victory now has him only
seven points off of the Pro-am points lead.
“Cody is doing a good job so far and we
expect he will continue to do so and take the
championship for us at the end of the season,”
stated BCS Performance’s owner, Jason Brazee.
Round number nine of the 2010 New England ATV
Motocross Series will head to Hemond Motocross
Park in Minot, ME on August 15th where Cody Miller
will be going for the top of the podium once again.
