Ballance Racing's Walker Fowler Wins Again at Steele Creek GNCC

Ballance Racing Yamaha's Walker Fowler celebrates his third consecutive win of the 2011 GNCC ATV season

Heading into round #3 of the GNCC series XC-1 Pro rider Taylor Kiser and XC-2 Pro-Am rider Walker Fowler were focused and ready to battle upfront.

In XC-1 Pro, Kiser was excited about the weekend. "I have been working on my starts and really just brought it back to basics. I'm ready to see the results". When the flag dropped it was evident that his work had paid off. For the first time this year Kiser was first into the woods. It felt good to battle with the front pack instead of just trying to catch them," said Kiser.

After a hard fought 2 hours, Kiser would cross the finish line in 3rd, but a poor line choice on the final lap that didn't advance his position would ultimately cost him one. Kiser was scored 4th for the day. "I think I've got my starts working for me now, it should be an interesting season," said Kiser.

In XC-2 Pro-Am Fowler, suffering from a severe head cold was ready to defend his first two round victories. "I've had this head cold for a few days and it has affected my training some, but after I walked the track I felt good and started working on my mental game," stated Fowler.

Fowler was 4th into the woods after the start and set a pace to get out front. "The early pace took a tool on me, so once I took the lead I set a pace I could run comfortably without making mistakes", said Fowler. He would finish the weekend 1st in XC-2 Pro-Am Class and 9th overall
