#20 Josh Upperman went 1-3 on the day
at Red Bud MX to claim 3rd place overall
on the Pro Podium |
North Kingsville, OH (8/4/2010)
- Baldwin Motorsports’ Josh
Upperman took the holeshot and moto one win at
round ten of the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross Championships
and would go on to take a podium finish after
an impressive second moto.
As the gate dropped for Pro moto one at Red
Bud, Josh Upperman, who is known for his impressive
holeshot abilities, did not disappoint as he
grabbed the moto one holeshot. Upperman had
plenty of company off the start as Josh Creamer
soon came calling, but Upperman held his ground
and fought off numerous attacks on his lead.
Every time Creamer tried for a pass, Upperman
was one step ahead and shut him down. Despite
Creamer’s best efforts, Josh Upperman
would come out victorious and take the moto
one win. “Red Bud is one of my favorite
tracks so I was really looking forward to this
round. I got a great start and I felt really
good out there, Mark and the rest of the Baldwin
team have done an awesome job putting together
a great machine for me,” said Upperman.

fall back to third. From there, Upperman kept
a solid gap on the rest of the pack and held
down third until reaching the checkered flag.
Upperman’s impressive 1-3 finishes earned
him the third spot on the podium. “My
whole season has been going pretty well and
I am happy with my finish at Red Bud. Now I
am going to try to secure third in the points
chase at the last round at Loretta’s,”
stated Upperman.
“We had a very good weekend at Red Bud.
Our engine combos on Josh’s quad were
working great and Josh did very well. Overall
it was a good effort on everyone’s part
and we a now looking forward to Loretta’s
and seeing Josh on the podium again,”
stated Baldwin motorsports’ owner, Mark
Baldwin.
With this round under his belt, Baldwin Motorsports’
Josh Upperman is now tied with Chad Wienen for
third place in the Pro Championship points and
he is looking to break that tie and secure the
number three spot at the final round of the
2010 season, which is scheduled for August 14th
– 15th at the Legendary Loretta Lynn’s
Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN, where the only
thing hotter than the weather will be the battle
for the pro podium.
