Morgantown, WV (8/1/2008) - Racer Productions, producers of the 2008 ATV Dirt Days at Loretta Lynn's, will host a "Kids Karnival" at Loretta Lynn Ranch Pavilion on Friday, August 8 starting at 5:30 p.m. The race weekend marks the regular season finale in the 11-round Pro and 10-round amateur ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA/ATVA National Motocross Championship Presented by Parts Unlimited and will take place Aug. 9 and 10.

The Kids Karnival is open to everyone young and old and will kick off with the first ever Golf Cart Parade led by newly crowned Pro Champion Dustin Wimmer and immediately followed by more carnival games with several pro riders adding to the fun. As part of the evening, the Kidz Choice Awards, on which riders will vote, will name favorites associated with the ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA/ATVA National Motocross Championship.

"We wanted to set aside a special evening just for the kids and help build up the evening that began and continues with the Youth Contingency Program," said ATV Motocross Series Administrator Stephani McIntyre. "The goal is to grow this day for kids and create something that both youth racers and non-racers will look forward to every year."

Riders must be registered by 6 p.m. on Friday, August 8 to be eligible for the Youth Contingency Awards. Additional information will be available including Kidz Choice Ballots at rider registration on Thursday and Friday.

The ATV Dirt Days will begin with practice on Friday, August 8 and racing Saturday and Sunday featuring a full program of Pro, Pro-Am, Amateur, Youth, and Women's racing.
