- Racer Productions, producers of the 2008
ATV Dirt Days at Loretta Lynn's, will host
a "Kids Karnival" at Loretta Lynn
Ranch Pavilion on Friday, August 8 starting
at 5:30 p.m. The race weekend marks the regular
season finale in the 11-round Pro and 10-round
amateur ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA/ATVA National
Motocross Championship Presented by Parts
Unlimited and will take place Aug. 9 and 10.
The Kids Karnival is open to everyone young
and old and will kick off with the first ever
Golf Cart Parade led by newly crowned Pro
Champion Dustin Wimmer and immediately followed
by more carnival games with several pro riders
adding to the fun. At 7 p.m. the Youth Contingency
Program will get started which makes thousands
of dollars worth of donated prizes eligible
to all youth riders entered into the event.
As part of the evening, the Kidz Choice Awards,
on which riders will vote, will name favorites
associated with the ITP Tires/Moose Racing
AMA/ATVA National Motocross Championship.
"We wanted to set aside a special evening
just for the kids and help build up the evening
that began and continues with the Youth Contingency
Program," said ATV Motocross Series Administrator
Stephani McIntyre. "The goal is to grow
this day for kids and create something that
both youth racers and non-racers will look
forward to every year."
Riders must be registered by 6 p.m. on Friday,
August 8 to be eligible for the Youth Contingency
Awards. Additional information will be available
including Kidz Choice Ballots at rider registration
on Thursday and Friday.
The ATV Dirt Days will begin with practice
on Friday, August 8 and racing Saturday and
Sunday featuring a full program of Pro, Pro-Am,
Amateur, Youth, and Women's racing.
