Time to go racing: MX action

Pickerington, OH (3/7/2007) - It's time
to go racing. Time to find out if AMA Pro ATV rider Keith
Little of Russellville, Alabama, can repeat his win at
Pell City last year, with his fans lining the fence to
cheer him on.
Time for the season opener of the AMA Pro ATV and ATVA
ITP/Moose National Motocross Championship at Mill Creek
MX in Pell City, Alabama this weekend, March 10-11.
New for 2007, the pro class will be sanctioned by AMA
Pro ATV. This is just another achievement for ATV racing,
on its journey to even greater heights.
ATVA has added new classes and made changes to others.
New youth classes have been created to meet the growing
demand of riders and equipment. Entry-level classes
have been modified to encourage new racers, and there
is a women’s Pro Am class.
New for 2007, transponder scoring has been added for
all classes, to provide riders more information and
details about their performance.
New for 2007, more contingency money for racers. Kawasaki
will offer contingency for riders on the newly released
KFX 450R. Supporting ATVA Nationals for another year,
ITP and Honda will offer rider contingency as well.
New for 2007, every round of the AMA Pro ATV &
ATVA ITP/Moose National Motocross Championship will
be shown on Versus. Tune in April 18 and 25 at 3 p.m.
to see the Mill Creek round.
AMA Pro ATV class along with amateur and youth classes
will be tested to meet the long standing sound limit
of 99db.
Gates open 4:00pm Central time Thursday, March 8. Test
and tune practice is set for 10:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday,
March 9. Saturday, March 10, practice begins at 8 a.m.
with racing starting as soon as practice is over. All
classes will race there first or qualifying motos and
last chance qualifiers on Saturday except the Pro’s.
Remember, Daylight Savings Time goes into effect early
Sunday morning.
Practice begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, and
all classes we be racing their final motos. Pro riders
will race their first moto at noon and the Pro final
starts at 3 p.m.
