Benton, KY (5/11/2009)
- The national Extreme Dirt Track Series recently
made the announcement that long time EDT racer,
Nick Camilli was named as the East Coast Rider
Representative for the 2009 season.
“Nick has been a long time racer and follower
of the series. He is well liked and very professional
both on and off the track, so we are very excited
to have him aboard and feel he will be a very
good fit for this role,” stated series promoter
Roy Reed.
Nick Camilli has been involved in racing for
over a decade and has been involved with the Extreme
Dirt Track Series since 2002, which makes him
well versed in the workings of the series and
gives him a unique insight from the racer’s
perspective. In addition, Camilli’s profession
as a project engineer has prepared him for the
professional conduct that is expected of him as
a Rider Representative.
Camilli will not just be someone that sits behind
a desk taking phone calls, Camilli is a supported
rider for KTM and will also be actively racing
the entire 2009 EDT series with the help of his
sponsors, KTM North America, Turtle Racing Engines,
Roberts Racing, MSR, and Cycle Goodies of Winston
Salem. Camilli will be returning to defend his
25+ class championship, and will also be racing
in the Pro-am Unlimited and Production A classes
as well.
“I am very excited that I was given this
opportunity. I have been involved in this series
for quite some time. I care about this series
and the people involved and I really want to be
able to make a difference and see this series
grow and get the recognition it deserves. This
series is like one big family to me and I am proud
to be acting as the voice for the east coast riders,”
said Nick Camilli.
The first round of the Extreme Dirt Track series
gets underway on May 30th at Ozark Mountain ATV
Raceway in Ava, MO.
