ATV Racers Face New Du Quoin Track
in Round Two
Duro Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals
DuQuoin, IL (6/20/2007)
- Hot off a big win at the opening round, Harold Goodman
(#708 Honda) from Romulus, Michigan, comes into round
two of the Duro Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals with
the hopes of making it two in a row.
The racing takes place this weekend at the Du Quoin
State Fairgrounds in Illinois.
Charging closely behind in second is Shane Hitt, (#5
Honda) of Buckhannon, West Virginia. Chuckie Creech
(#25 Honda) Nashville, North Carolina, is in third after
his first time on the podium. Brad Covington (#22 Yamaha)
of Batesville, Arkansas looks strong in fourth, while
Frank Batista (#13 Honda), of Riverdale, California,
will definately be looking to move up.
All the competitors will find a brand new TT track
built by promoter Steve Nace inside the half-mile oval
at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. For spectators, the
fairgrounds offers camping sites with electricity and
water hookups for $15 per night.
Practice begins at 5 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, registration
will open at 7 a.m., with a riders meeting at 8 a.m.,
followed by practice. Qualifying and main events will
follow directly after practice. The evening program
will start at 7 p.m., with larger classes racing under
the lights.
