Hurricane Mills, TN (8/8/06) –Anthony
Mastrocola was having an incredible weekend of racing
at Steel City Raceway winning both the Production C &
265C on Saturday, but disaster struck on Sunday, July
16th during his Production C race when his ATV nose dived
over a jump slamming Anthony into the ground. As a result
of the impact, Anthony crushed his T4 & T5 vertebrate
located in the middle of the back, which left him without
any feeling below his chest. He has since remained paralyzed
from the chest down.
As many already have become well aware after Jeremiah
Jones tragic wreck at Unadilla, which left him paralyzed
as well, the medical bills associated with these types
are injuries are enormous and most of treatments are
not covered through insurance. In an effort to help
raise funds for the Mastrocola family, the Mobile Medical
Unit’s Debi Bartosek has arranged a Benefit Auction
to be held at Loretta Lynn’s on Sunday August
13th with all the proceeds going proceeds going to Anthony
Mastrocola’s rehabilitation.
All the Pro riders are encouraged to donate atleast
one autographed item for the auction, and donations
from friends or the ATV Industry are appreciated. If
you can contribute any items to the auction, please
contact Debi Bartosek at 88-4ever@adelphia.net.
There are numerous fund raising efforts underway for
Jeremiah Jones, and the ATV community has really been
pulling together for Jeremiah, which is truly appreciated
by the Jones family, but we also must not forget this
once upcoming rider that has his dream of becoming the
next to pro shattered in an instant while he was feeling
on top of the World.
This has been a difficult year for ATV racing with
the tragic deaths of Zachary Griffin and Todd Vescovi,
and now both Jeremiah Jones and Anthony Mastrocola have
been paralyzed and need our support and prayers for
them and their families more than ever.
We look forward to your donations and support at the
Anthony Mastrocola Benefit Auction at Loretta Lynn’s
on Sunday, August 13th.
Among the items up for grabs are:
- Jeremiah Jones's autographed #1 Shift Riding gear
from his year as
the reigning GNC champ. An absolute collectors item,
and rare find.
- A super stock Typhoon ATV courtesy of Xtreme ATV.
The #88 quad
will have several Xtreme aftermarket pieces as well
as donated pieces
from Western Power Sports. Should be a real "looker".
The retail
value of this combination is well over $2500.
- An autographed, mounted, & framed Jeremiah Jones
poster sized

The print will
be autographed by the major pros in the industry.
