-The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) announced
its 2008 AMA Sports and All-Terrain Vehicle Association
(ATVA) end-of-year award winners last night at
the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Leeds,
AL.
Harold Goodman took home the ATVA Athlete of
the Year Award for winning both the Extreme Dirt
Track Pro & Pro Lites Championship, but he
wasn’t able to receive his award in person
because he was in Mexico where he just secured
the SCORE BAJA 1000 win in one of the toughest
races in the world.
Other ATV winners included, Thomas Brown, Heather
Byrd, and Jesse Skvarek
Tonight, AMA Pro ATV Champion, Dustin Wimmer
is up for Speed Athlete of the Year in the AMA
Pro Banquet also held at the Barber Vintage Motorsports
Museum in Leeds, AL.
