San Bernadino, CA
(12/6/2007) – Glen Helen Raceway
officials announced today that the West Coast-based
ITP QuadCross Series will run as part of the
season-opening ITP/Moose Racing AMA/ATVA National
Motocross events. The races are scheduled
for Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9.
The QuadCross Series will run its amateur
and pro events on both Saturday and Sunday,
while the ATVA Pro Series will kick off
its 2008 season on Sunday. The ATVA Amateur
Series starts its season March 29-20 at
Mill Creek MX in Pell City, Ala.
"When we completed next year's schedule,
we thought it would be unfair to force our
amateurs to travel cross country to compete
in the first round," said Racer Productions
CFO Carrie Coombs Russell. "We applaud
what (Glen Helen promoter) Lori Bryant has
done to make this an even more exciting
show."
"We definitely want to make for a
fan-friendly festival of speed at Glen Helen,"
said Bryant. "The ITP QuadCross is
a West Coast-based Series and features some
of the area's top pros and amateurs. This
should be a thrilling racing weekend."
The 11-round 2008 ITP/Moose Racing AMA
Pro ATV Motocross season kicks off March
9 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino,
Calif. The 10-round 2008 ATVA motocross
series starts March 29 and 30 at Mill Creek
