Traxxas
Slash Radio Controlled Truck Benifit Raffle
for Clay Pearson
Morgantown, WV. (6/29/2011)
- Fundraising will continue this weekend, July
2 and 3, at the Suzuki Sunday Creek ATVMX event
in Millfield, Ohio, round 8 of the 2011 AMA
ATV Motocross National Championship Series presented
by DWT. Elizabeth Vogt Racing has teamed up
with the 88 Live to Ride Foundation for this
weekend's event.
Elizabeth Vogt Racing has stepped
up to purchase a Traxxas Slash radio controlled
truck to be raffled off this weekend at Sunday
Creek Raceway. This weekend's raffle will once
again benefit Clay Pearson, who was critically
injured during the ATVMX Schoolboy Jr. race
at Steel City.
"Clay is doing well in his
recovery and the plan right now is on July 13
he will be transferred from the hospital to
an apartment where his family can stay there
with him and he'll be doing therapy," said
Debbie Bartosek of 88 Live to Ride. "Clay
is ahead of schedule on his rehab and he said
they're already teaching him how to do wheelies
and go down stairs, which is normally scheduled
for the week of release," Bartosek added.
The previous fundraiser held at
Spring Creek Motocross in Millville, Minn.,
successfully raised $3,850 to benefit Clay and
the Pearson family.
Tickets can be purchased for $5.00
each or three for $10. 88 Live to Ride will
also be giving the first ten people who buy
$100 in raffle tickets an Eject Helmet System,
valued at $60. The drawing will be held Saturday,
July 2, at 5 p.m.
