De Pere, WI (4/19/2011)
- Nick DeNoble claimed his best career finish
to date at round four of the 2011 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships, despite slick, muddy conditions,
and made his way to the Pro podium in the number
three spot.
The first moto was a little tough
on DeNoble as he came off the line in seventh
and was subject to massive amounts of mud and
spray for the entire moto. DeNoble would hang
on for an eighth place finish in moto one, but
in moto two, DeNoble came on strong.
Eating mud for an entire moto
is a big motivator and DeNoble had enough of
that and charged off the line in moto two. The
number 123 Honda was in third off the start
and charged hard as he caught up to Harold Goodman,
who was holding down the number two spot. It
didn’t take long before DeNoble made the
pass on Goodman and took over the number two
position in lap two. DeNoble maintained a steady
gap between him and the rest of the pack as
he rode a very solid race, taking second as
he reached the moto two checkered flag. DeNoble’s
amazing run in the second moto gave him his
first-ever pro podium finish, which was also
a career best for the Wisconsin native.

to make the podium. I got past Harold and just
put my head down. It’s a really great
feeling to finally take a podium finish and
I hope I am able to do it again,” said
DeNoble, who has really stepped up his game
this season and has been showing improvement
with each round.
Round five of the 2011 AMA ATV
Motocross Championships will be heading to Sunset
Ridge in Walnut, IL on May7th – 8th where

position.
