El Cajon, CA (8/4/2014) - 417 Motorsports’ Josh Row rounded out the Pro podium at round seven of the 2014 WORCS Racing Series and remains second in championship points after a tough battle through the woods in Washington State.

This was the first time in two years the series has headed to Straddleline ORV Park. Washington is known for its rain and wet conditions for most of the year, but this year the weather was sunny and warm with temps reaching the upper 80’s. The warm and dry conditions did cause some dust, but that wasn’t much of an issue for Josh Row.

Row was in fourth off the start and was holding strong. Row ran a fast and steady pace and made quick work of the challenging WORCS X section that saw its fair share of hang-ups throughout the day.

Row was able to ride unchallenged in the number four position for most of the race, and in the final two laps he was able to move into the number three spot and take it to the finish line.

“It was kind of a race of attrition. I was able to take over third after Robbie Mitchell crashed. It was definitely different from any of the other tracks we go to, but it was pretty fun. This is the first time I have ever been on the podium in Washington, so I am pretty happy about that. My Sparks motor had plenty of power to get me through the trees and  my Maxxis tires hook up really good, especially through the endurocross section, and my Flexbars worked well for this type of track,” said Row.

Josh Row is currently locked into a tight points battle with David Haagsma and is hoping to increase his lead and get a little breathing room in the next round.
“We are really close, I think I am about four points ahead of Davi and I really want to finish ahead of him at the next round so I can get a few more points and have a little more breathing room going into the last round,” said Row.

Round eight of the 2014 WORCS series will head to Glen Helen raceway in Devore, CA on Sept 12-14, where Josh Row will be going for the podium.
