2009 Yamaha Grizzly, Raptor,
Rhino ATV & UTV Model Preview
Just recently, ATVriders.com was invited to the
land of sun and surf where ATV manufacturing giant,
Yamaha, announced many of its 2009 line up of
ATV’s and SxS vehicles. The 2009 line-up
boasts many upgrades to their existing off road
machines and a couple of all-new ATV’s as
well. Yamaha has always been a pioneer in the
motorsports industry and some of the 2009’s
impressive changes and additions prove just that.
As the presentation at the press intro played
out, it was apparent that we would have our work
cut out for us trying to keep up with the many
upgrades and new models that Yamaha has implemented
in their 2009 line-up, so we will break it down
by machine and give an overview of what you can
expect from each model for 2009.

Yamaha Grizzly 550 FI ATV
Modeled after it’s big brother, the Grizzly
700 FI EPS, the new Yamaha Grizzly 550 FI fills
a niche in the utility ATV market as the only machine
in its class with electronic power steering and
a powerful 558cc fuel injected motor. Light weight,
nimble, and performance minded, this new utility
quad from Yamaha is a sure winner.
2009
Yamaha Raptor 90 Youth ATV
As the youth ATV market continues to expand despite
an ever-shrinking economy, Yamaha has recognized
the need to come up with a mini quad that will grow
along with the needs of young riders to keep them
interested in the sport, while providing safety
features and a low impact to parent’s pocket
books. The all-new Yamaha Raptor 90 provides both
safety features and performance that parents can
control and allow to grow along with the rider.
