Glamis, CA (4/6/2015) - Over
the years, Yamaha has become well known for their
mid-season Special Edition ATV line releases and
every year it is something to look forward to.
For 2015, Yamaha did not disappoint as they just
released the 2015 Yamaha Raptor 700 R SE and the
2015 Yamaha YFZ 450R SE models.
Every year, ATVRiders.com looks forward to heading
out to California’s Glamis Sand Dunes to test
out the late release Special Edition Yamaha YFZ
450R and Raptor 700R in one of the big sand boxes
in the United States for a two full days riding.
While the east coast and mid-west states have
been dealing with record cold and snow, the
west has seen record high temperatures and summer-like
conditions, so this was even more reason for
us to look forward to this trip with temps approaching
90 degrees both days this week in the Glamis
Sand Dunes.

Yamaha always puts together incredible test
ride event and Camp Chef brought out a full
line of their outdoor cooking product line and
even included their new smoker this year, which
was put to good use by making some incredible
Tri-Tip steak for dinner, and we used the Camp
Chef Italia Artisan Pizza oven to make our own
pizzas for lunch during the trip.

To top it off, as a gift we all received a
professional 9-piece cutlery set and an Alps
Mountaineering 30 degree temperature sleeping
bag, which we slept in that night. While all
the special amenities were great, what we were
really there for was to test ride the 2015 Yamaha
Raptor 700R and YFZ 450R SE models.

While Glamis is one of our favorite dune areas,
we came in the weekend after President’s day
weekend, which is a huge riding holiday at Glamis.
Unfortunately, the dunes were quite rough after
so much traffic and no wind to smooth them out,
but we were excited to throw a leg over the
Yamaha quads and get out and ride.
