Baltimore, MD (1/5/2014) – The
Built Ford Tought 2015 PBR Proffesional Bull riders
season kicked off in Baltimore, MD on January 3-4,
where the top 35 Professional bull riders in the
world competed for their share of a $140,000 total
PBR event purse.
Kawasaki, who is a big supporter of the Built
Ford Tough PBR series, invited ATVRiders.com to
the 2015 PBR Bull Riders opening round in Baltimore,
MD to check out the event and see how the 2015
Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT has been incorporated into
the PBR series as a fun and functional off road
vehicle. This is the second time the folks at
Kawasaki have invited us to a PBR Bull Riders
event, and we had such a good time at Philadelphia
a couple of years ago, we jumped at the opportunity
to attend.

Professional bull riding is a fierce, rough, and grueling sport with its roots deeply imbedded in American culture and some even consider it America's original extreme sport. The PBR was created in 1992 when a group of 20 bull riders broke away from the traditional rodeo scene seeking mainstream attention for the sport of professional bull riding. They felt that, as the most popular event at a rodeo, bull riding deserved to be in the spotlight and could easily stand alone. They were right and the sport has continued to grow and travel to bigger venues and perform in front of thousands of spectators every year.

A couple of years ago, Kawasaki took note of the growing popularity of the PBR series and decided they wanted to be a part of the excitement. “PBR has been good for Kawasaki and Kawasaki has been good for PBR. The people sitting in the stands use our products every day for work and play so it is a natural fit,” said Kawasaki Marketing/Media Rep. Jon Rall.

“When you look at the demographic of our fan base, Kawasaki is a great fit for that. They are heavily into the outdoors like hunting and fishing as we are, but we also both draw in a younger demographic on the extreme side of the sport. We think we are the original extreme sport and that is good for us and good for Kawasaki. We had the Teryx last year, which is a great machine, but the Mule is a really great fit for the demographic and we are pleased to have the Mule on board this year,” stated Jim Hayworth, Chairman and CEO of the PBR.
