Kaska, PA - Did you ever hear the
expression “I don’t know if I coming
or going”? That’s how I’ve been
feeling lately. In the past month after the holidays
I have been running wide open preparing for the
2011 race season. I have bounced from California
to Pennsylvania, then to Florida, then back to PA.
Now I am getting ready to pack up and head to California
for the first round of the WORCS series on January
23!
That’s right this season I will be competing
in both the GNCC and the WORCS national circuits,
just like I did in 2009. With only one round conflicting
between the two series for 2011, I will be able
to attend all races.
Now the big question...what am I riding? I will
be on a Yokley Racing National Guard Honda TRX450R.
I have a lot of sponsors carrying over from last
year, but I picked up an additional title sponsor
this year…Coastal Drilling. Coastal is the
one responsible for making it possible to once
again race in the WORCS series with them providing
a ride for my ATV back an forth to all of the
races out west.

I am in the process now of building my race quads
for the upcoming GNCC and WORCS season. The WORCS
series requires a totally different setup than
I am used to running in the GNCC. It is more like
a cross between a desert and a motocross setup,
meaning I will be running 50 inches wide instead
of the typical woods width 46-47 inches. I achieve
the width with help from Roll Design a-arms and
a RPM axle. Also I will be running longer EXIT
shocks out West to soak up the harsh desert bumps
at the high speeds we will be running. Pair up
the suspension package with a Precision stabilizer
and Vibe Clamp and your set for a smooth ride!

The WORCS races consist of a lot of sand and
loose terrain meaning I would need some more power
to be able to hang! Baldwin Motorsports has come
onboard to help with engine mods, and Mark Baldwin
is doing some headwork for me and giving me some
tips on how to make a ton more power! I plan on
getting that new power to the ground through a
KG clutch, Tsubaki chain, and Kenda Tires paired
with Tireballs and Douglas Wheels on both quads.
In the breathing department, I brought on board
two new sponsors, K&N filters and HMF exhausts
to keep everything clean and smooth flowing! We
also are removing the electric starters and installing
kickers to save weight and keep things simple,
thanks to XCBOB.com.
