(10/13/2009) - The mere mention of the term “Hipers” these days at any ATV racing event immediately brings the highly recognizable black carbon fiber constructed rim into the conversation with no further explanation required. The Kansas based company, Hiper-Technology, has been steadily overtaking the replacement racing rim market for several years, and doing so by their reputation as being virtually indestructible in various forms of off road ATV and Side by Side racing. Models are manufactured for all popular sport ATV and Utility models, along with the Side by Side market which has exploded onto the off road scene over the past 2 years.

With high praise from racers, and the performance based rim’s reputation, Hiper has been steadily increasing its line of products to other forms of racing and recreational riders with great success. The ATV, UTV, Side by Side and Micro Sprint market has seen remarkable growth and the changing needs and demands from racers have found their way into differing versions of the companies’ offerings. Models with dual beadlocks, non-beadlocks, complete carbon fiber construction and a myriad of sizing and back spacing offer us a truly diverse product line from which to choose from.

The HiPer Tech 3 model rim offers a dual beadlock 9x9 rear carbon rim, and a single beadlock 10x5 front rim to add a race inspired look to any project ATV.

Recently we chose to use Hiper Technology rims on our project KFX 450 machine and we chose to use the Tech 3 model. Offering us a dual beadlock 9x9 rear carbon rim, and a single beadlock 10x5 front rim, we would now be able to push our machine even harder with out worry of damaging the stock aluminum rims and add some serious race inspired looks to our project. Removing the rims form their packaging revealed the rims design features, but only from the outer appearance. Inside the two piece rear rim design lays a network of billet aluminum and o-rings that keep this rim truly modular just incase an issue would ever arise prompting the need for replacing a part of the rim. Brass inserts rest inside the carbon fiber and each rim comes complete with all needed and required hardware for installation. The true beauty of the dual beadlock design is the ease of installing your tires, without the expense of having a tire shop perform the work for you!
