that is usually high speed with wide sweeping turns.
Sometimes the track is a simple oval, other times

The format for these races is basically the same
as motocross with qualifying heats and a main event
and can either be timed or a set amount of laps
depending on which class you are running. The Extreme
DirtTrack Nationals are ATVA sanctioned TT style
races, which like most national events, are based
in the eastern section of the country.

which has bleachers for great spectator
viewing and comfort
Dirt
Track Racers are lined in rows on a grid,
which is normally less than 10 quads wide
and several rows deep. Racers start with
engines running, and watch a flagger or
for the light tree to go green. ATVs run
slick tires and ATV setup is extremely important
with various compound tires available for
different track condtions
ICE
ATV Racing Information
Up north, the lakes freeze over in the winter,
and many ATV racers hit the ice for some ice racing,
which similar to flat track dirt racing, but instead
of smooth tires, studs are used to gain traction
on the ice. Also , these racing events go beyond
the lakes and the IXCR Series travels around the
country to indoor arena ice racing in front of
huge crowds.

blues, and it is really popular in the northern
states
Super
Moto ATV Racing Information
Supermoto racing is a cross over between motocross
and road racing. Races are commonly held on road
racing or medium sized go-kart tracks with an off
road section in the infield. Most supermoto tracks
are typically configured with approximately 70%
pavement and 30% dirt with small jumps, and the
Stateline
Super Moto race in Nevada is one of the few
venues that allow ATVs.
Super
Moto ATV Racing is very similar to dirt
track racing & the ATV setup is also
very similar and just as important. The
biggest difference is in Super Moto racing,
the majority of the racing is held on pavement,
and the dirt sections typically contain
larger jumps than those found typically
at dirt track races

several hundred miles, or in a large loop
for a lap or several laps, but they are
typically over 100 miles and as long as
over 1,000 miles. These races are typically
run with a team of riders that run at different
times during the race. Entry Fees are the
highest of any type of racing & requires
alot of team work and support

ATVs, and they run extra large tires with
22" rears with 22" front as well.
Also, Tireballs are heavily used to avoid
flat tires. Also, large capacity gas tanks
are required with this type of racing. Also,
suspension and comfort are very important
so racers invest in high dollar shocks along
with some extra foam for there seats for
comfort
