Washington, GA (3/22/2013) - The gate drops at Aonia Pass on Saturday March 23rd for round one of the AMA Mtn. Dew ATV MX National Championship Series.  The gate is expected to be stacked with the most talented racers in recent history; 24 ATV racers plan to line up for the Pro ATV race.

Last season, Chad Wienen rocked the AMA MX opener by going 1-1 to earn his first of six overall wins in 2012. Wienen earned his first AMA ATV Pro Championship in 2012 and hopes to pick up right where he left off.

Wienen has spent his off season training in Florida with the new members of the Wienen Motorsports Team.  He has practiced all over the Sunshine State, but spent the later part of the winter at County Line MX in northern Florida.

#44 Chad Wienen’s program is similar to last year; he will be returning on a Wienen Motorsports / Walsh Race Craft / SSi Decals Yamaha YFZ450R ATV. Although his sponsors remained the same, his team has grown; Wienen added three additional racers to the WM team and has taken on the role of team manager.

“I feel great, even better than last season. My Yamaha is dialed in and things are really falling into place,” said Wienen.

Also returning for 2013 is former AMA ATV MX Champion Josh Creamer. 2010 AMA ATV MX Champion Josh Creamer will be racing aboard a BCS / Can-Am DS450 ATV for 2013. Creamer stepped down from the National circuit after winning the 2010 championship; in 2012 he won the NEATV MX Pro & Pro-Am Championship for his BCS / Can-Am ATV Race Team and with added support from Can-Am has decided to return to the National stage.

The former champion will be aboard a BCS / FOX / ITP Tires Can-Am DS 450 ATV. His program has proved to be very solid at the NEATV MX races and he hopes that he will be able to put his Can-Am out front and work towards another championship.

“I want to get on the podium at the first round to say the least. I have a lot of good sponsors behind me and want to put my Can-Am on top for them,” said Creamer.

Ranked second in the 2012 AMA ATV Pro MX Racing Season is John Natalie Jr. Natalie has over hauled his program and is sure to be a huge threat for the championship.

The veteran racer will be returning on a Motosport.com / Motoworks / DWT Honda TRX450R ATV. The 2011 AMA Pro ATV Motocross Champion had three overall wins in 2012 and finished just 31 points behind Wienen.
