Splendora, TX(3/20/2013) - For the 2013 Mtn. Dew AMA ATV MX National Championship Series, Joel Hetrick returns to his Hetrick Racing roots. Hetrick is not only switching to a privateer effort, but will be competing on a Hetrick Racing built Honda TRX450R ATV with substantial support from new sponsor Corrosion Specialties and longtime supporter Makson Construction.
Hetrick has yielded a lot of success since his Pro Class debut in 2011 and the young gun is looking for another successful season on the track.
Twenty-year-old Hetrick, not only changed brands but also made the switch to JB Racing and Elka Suspension. The changes seem to be positive for the talented racer, as he feels very comfortable on his new ride.
“The Honda is great. I feel better than I ever had. I am really comfortable and have been doing a lot of testing to get things dialed in where I want them,” regarded Hetrick of his new Honda 450R.

In order to make his privateer effort shine, Hetrick has brought on new sponsors to boost his program. New sponsor, Root River Racing has been instrumental in his off season training. Hetrick and the Root River Team have spent a lot of time perfecting the quads for this season.

Hetrick spent much of his offseason preparing and training in Splendora, Texas. He made his move to the Durhamtown Plantation in Union Point, Georgia in March, where he will remain until round one at Aonia Pass.
